There are many different types of TV genres like Sports, Sitcom also known as comedy, Documentary, Adult cartoons, Kids/children's, Drama, News and Reality. Lots of little kids would like to watch stuff like Scooby Doo and that would be in kids/children's kind of stuff. For adults they would probably like to watch sports, sitcom, documentary, drama, news and reality. As you can see they our economy only has a few kid friendly channels or shows there is more stuff for adults than children. We are getting less and less TV shows for kids that are young. There are still types of TV shows that kids can watch like Scooby Doo, SpongeBob SquarePants, Bubble Guppies, Paw Patrol and Dora are all kid friendly shows that kids can still watch in our world. There are now lots of Adult to shows now like family guy and CSI there are still a lot more Adults can watch than kids in our world. Adults can even watch kids shows like Batman but batman is a kids show with animated people in it and is also an adults movie with people acting the movie out. Lots of times kids can not watch adults movies because they are to violent or scary or just not kid appropriate. I'm interviewing Taylor King and she agrees that there are more adult TV shows than kids TV shows now days. She said that she does not really watch many kids shows she watches stuff like crime scene and mystery shows or horror shows. She said that she doesn't like watching shows that are inappropriate that kids shouldn't watch like family guy or American dad. In these types of shows there are animated characters that talk about very bad things and is very violent and same with American dad. We might be able to make more kid appropriate TV shows in the future that kids can watch and not have night mares and start doing bad things to there life. Kid appropriate shows that 1-14 year olds can watch and makes them interested in watching the show. •http://www.esolcourses.com/content/topics/tv/tv-show-genres.html •http://io9.com/what-tv-shows-for-kids-do-you-still-want-to-watch-as-an-1563529718 Interactive Whiteboards Enhance Classroom Instruction and Learning
By Logan Mantor The first interactive whiteboard was released in 1991, only in the last several years have whiteboards become a must-have tool in K-12 classrooms. New emphasis on developing 21st century skills for students, the requirement for educator proficiency in technology, and research documenting increased learning with the use of interactive whiteboards have spurred its adoption. In other words interactive whiteboards are a good way of learning. Kids can write down their thoughts and answers and easily erase them. Interactive whiteboards affect learning in several ways, including raising the level of student engagement in a classroom, motivating students and promoting enthusiasm for learning. Interactive whiteboards support many different learning styles and are used in a variety of learning environments, including those catering to students with hearing and visual impairments. Research also indicates that notes taken on an interactive whiteboard can play a key role in the student review process, leading to higher levels of student attendance. In addition to the observed positive impacts on student learning, research shows that designing lessons around interactive whiteboards helps educators streamline their preparation, be more efficient in their Information and Communication Technology (ICT) integration and increase their productivity overall. This paper brings together interactive white- board research and case study observations from the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. White boards are the best way to learn. Easy erasing, no leftover marks from pencil and paper. Easy to change answers and quick writing. I interviewed Mrs.S, she stated " Yes, because it is easy to see and learn from it when the teachers are using the white board."I agree with her because you don't have the leftover pencil erasings. They can make assessments. They can share ideas. They can question each other. Interactive whiteboards are a way for students to work as a team.” Resources http://www.prometheanworld.com/us/english/education/products/interactive-whiteboard/ http://smarttech.com/Home%20Page/Landing%20Page |
